Site Improvements

These are a few projects that could be taken up by volunteers who are looking to make a difference for SOL:

• Resurface and paint courts
• Purchase and assemble swing sets, rope swings, or tire swings
• Provide materials for and construct picnic tables
• Purchase materials and help construct dugouts and bleacher seats at the John J Wood “Field of Dreams”
• Purchase and/or construct playground set

Sports Equipment

This is a list of equipment that we are always in need of:

• Buckets of baseballs – full grain leather cover, composite cork and rubber center
• Baseball/softball gloves
• Youth cleats (soccer or baseball) – especially sizes 6-10, NO METAL STUDS
• Baseball/softball uniforms
• Volleyballs
• Tetherball sets
• Rollerblades/skates – youth sizes

Educational

• BACKPACKS!
• Children’s books in English and Spanish
• School supplies (pens, pencils, paper, etc.)
• Art supplies and paint (washable and acrylic)
• ESL textbooks
• Colored Chalk
• Construction paper

Health

• First-aid kits
• Children’s chewable multi vitamins (Flinstones, etc)
• Children’s rain boots

Large Items

• Locations to establish community centers or outdoor fields
• A BUILDING FOR A COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTER!
